We Will Rise Foundation Appoints Vinod and Raj Gurung as Board Directors
The We Will Rise Foundation (WWRF) has appointed Vinod and Raj Gurung as new Board Directors.
According to the Foundation, the appointments are aimed at strengthening and expanding WWRF’s social initiatives based in Hong Kong. Both Vinod and Raj Gurung are Hong Kong–based entrepreneurs who have been actively involved in social and community work. Vinod is also the President of Siddhartha Parivar, a socially active organization in Hong Kong.
The appointment letters were formally handed over by WWRF Founder and President Tulsi Gurung during a special ceremony held in Hong Kong. The event was attended by Board Directors Nirmal Shrestha and Suraj Gurung, along with journalists based in Hong Kong.
WWRF stated that the entrepreneurial mindset, professional experience, and long-standing commitment of both appointees to social activism in Nepal and Hong Kong are expected to significantly contribute to the Foundation’s vision and future growth.
Newly appointed Board Director Raj Gurung successfully summited Mount Everest last year. The Foundation views this achievement as a reflection of his determination, discipline, and leadership qualities.
Established after the earthquake, the We Will Rise Foundation has been actively engaged in various social and humanitarian initiatives.
